Kings Cars realise that many of our Customers try their hand at selling their car privately either on the internet, local paper or even to Friends or Family members.

Whilst it’s true you usually will get more selling it privately than trading it in, for many it’s not worth the hassle or it takes longer than they expect or doesn’t quite workout the way they planned.

Aside from the obvious the other advantages of the “Kings Cars – Trade-In Guarantee” program to you is that we are experienced at getting vehicles ready for resale, we have a Team of Detailers across all locations and we have access to trade prices for all repairs and we are roadworthy accredited at all sites. In most cases we know your car and model intimately so we are able to carry out the work efficiently and cost effectively.

From our perspective it works because if we are going to trade the vehicle this is work we would need to do anyway before we can resell it, so it means the whole process is far more efficient for all. You drive out in your new car and the car we have just traded from you goes straight on the lot.

There are some conditions as you would expect but they are common sense and reasonable and designed to protect us from the 1% of people who just ruin it for everyone.

For example if we value the car and its condition alters adversely for example you have a bingle or damage the engine then these need to be fixed at your expense or the value to reinstate comes off the price. The offer generally applies to all vehicles. Although there are some vehicle’s that have simply outlived their useful life and are not worth the effort or money to spruce up, or some types of vehicles that experience tells us are best avoided.

Kings Cars Trade-In Guarantee

Our new Customer Program works as follows:

1. We value your vehicle as a trade in at a price we guarantee for a nominated period and kilometre range.
2. We then quote you on the costs to prepare the vehicle for private sale. This covers the necessary costs required to prepare it professionally for sale including roadworthy, detailing and any required repairs, even shopping trolley dents, peeling tint, we are a one-stop fix it up shop.
3. We can advise you of a suggested range to list the vehicle for private sale at, or even what is a fair price to sell to a Friend or Family Member.
4. We perform all the work required as per above (Point 2) and charge you accordingly.
5. If you sell the vehicle fantastic, but if for some reason things don’t go to plan, no problem we will not only guarantee the price of the original trade value (Point 1) but refund you the amount you have spent with us on getting the car ready (Point 2). If you have extended the registration period since we valued the car we will also reimburse that as well.
